Can anybody tell me why I have a file ~/.saves-<pid>-<fqdn> in my home
directory?  The file contains one blank line, then a path to an Emacs
autosave file.  The file seems to be very temporary -- it goes away
after a few seconds.  Why is autosave creating these files?
