The customize buffer should not take 60 sec to load up, on my P166 only takes
15-30 sec and I don't think is that hard to use, may be b/c you don't use
mouse.  That's what I do:

1. click in [ins]
2. click on the characteristic you want (bold, underline etc)
3. click fore/background and tab to select a font
4. click set and save then done.
