I am not sure I understand this correctly.  As far as I know, the GPL
requires that the derived products must also be under GPL.  So
Win-Emacs should be shipped with the source code (which does not seem
to be the case), and be freely redistributable (I haven't checked
this).

Of course they should charge for their product (especially with the
support) -- I was not questioning that.  I was just wondering whether
they distribute Win-Emacs under the GPL (i.e. with the source, and
permission to redistribute) -- if they do that, it might be a lot
easier to port 20.x to Win32 environment.

If they do not do that, is it not a GPL violation?
