I beg to differ.  If it's so slow as to be unusable, it is NOT
better.  I don't want to wait minutes to customize something.
edit-faces was fast enough and did a good enough job most of the time
for me (YMMV).

It's the worse-is-better syndrome.

What does family mean in this context?  What should I type in there?
And the other fields too?

If is the standard way to customize faces, there needs to be more help
for the uninitiated.

I like the new way to customize faces.  If it's the correct way,
that's even better.  However, it's barely usable on a hyper sparc.
What hope is there for a more typical machine?
