	Yes, but the point is that #cccccc is going to look different on
different displays, at least with a name like gray80 you have more hope
of it looking the same.  #cccccc on your display and a printer won't
look the same.  Gray80 can at least be made to look the same.

	So if you are chosing it to match the boundaries of the logo in
the splash screen, then it's a good idea.  But only in the splash screen
should you use "#cccccc".  If you want a default background for all of
XEmacs, choose gray80 or gray or whatever you think people want.  But
use the name, that's the best solution for getting colors to agree.
