19.15 now has all the major package additions promised bundled (efs,
AUCTeX, and tm). It also has major upgrades of Gnus, VM, oo-browser,
and hyperbole. Except for library packaging, everything that was
promised for 19.15 is now in, the earlier objections for a January
release have been resolved, and the countdown has started. As the
build & bug reports trickle in, I'll be able to set an estimate on
when a reasonable release date would be. I'm guessing another 2 to 3
weeks minimum of shakedown. I am not going to force the release like
20.0 or 20.1. If there are problems, it will be delayed until we are
really ready.

I would like to see an intermediate, snapshot of 20.x released as 20.1
in the very short term (within a week). There are serious
coredump-type problems in 20.0 fixed in 20.1-b2. This is dependent on
getting the recent Gnus `Marker doesn't point anywhere' bug fixed, and
locating whatever lossage there now is in network connections. The
network problems should not affect 19.15 as they appear to have been
introduced in a set of patches only applied to 20.x within the last 24
hours.
