Hi,

I have some problems with using shell mode. The Problem is _speed_
(like in so many cases :-/). Or better, the lack of.
The total lack of.
If I do a M-x shell a shell bufer is opened, OK. But even a simple
[Return] takes almost 5 seconds for the shell prompt to come back.

Unfortunately, if I start a pure xemacs -q, there is no delay.

Which packages could interact in such a way with shell?

Another strange thing is that the shell prompt is different depending
on if I start xemacs as xemacs -q or not.... but I do not set anything
in default or .emacs that has anything to do with shell...

in the -q case I have a prompt of

   ]2;jens@jens.metrix.de[/usr/home/jens] $

in the other case it's like in my xterms:

   [/usr/home/jens] $

Any hints?

    Jens
