direction-handling code is probably broken.  Perhaps someone who
computes in a Semitic language can try to fix it.  It might not be
that much work, given that Mule/Classic supports it.

I haven't been able to get SunOS4+mule to work for me, but there are
some people on the Net who claim to have.  You might have better luck
if you get MIT's X11R6 distribution.

Sun has been hoping SunOS4 would just go away, and now that Solaris
2.5 is a solid OS, there are signs of precisely that happening.  You
will not be able to run SunOS4 on Sun's latest hardware.  RIP.
