Get it from ftp.xemacs.org /pub/beta/xemacs-20.0/.

This release fixes the problems reported on Sunday and Monday.
Hopefully it can be released to the net by Friday or Saturday.

+ iso-acc.el got a critical bug fix courtesy of Alexandre Oliva.

+ make-mode.el got fixed.

+ European Language environment should work.

+ metamail.el should not bomb.

+ sh-script.el should be able to insert skeleton code.

+ System malloc conflicts should be fixed.

+ info files are no longer installed compressed

+ Several fixes were made to redisplay.

I've rewritten a portion of the Announcement along the lines of
the suggestions made. The full file is sitting at
	ftp://ftp.xemacs.org/pub/xemacs-20.0/README

The top portion now reads:
			Announcing XEmacs 20.0

XEmacs 20.0 is now available. This is a version of GNU Emacs derived
from Emacs version 19 from the Free Software Foundation.

This is primarily a beta test release. Many changes have occurred
since XEmacs 19.14, and work is continuing on XEmacs 19.15. XEmacs
19.15 will be a normal source+binary release and will include updates
to Gnus 5.4, tm-7.103, VM 6, and efs, none of which are present in
XEmacs 20.0, so if you do not need the internationalization there is
no pressing need to upgrade at this time.

XEmacs 19.15 is intended to be a stable release and good for however
long it takes for XEmacs v20 to stabilize. In terms of package
features 19.15 and 20.1 will be roughly equivalent.

The primary new feature in XEmacs 20.0 is the support for MULE
MUlti-Lingual extensions for Emacs. It has only been seriously tested
in a Japanese locale, and no doubt many problems still remain. The
support for ISO-Latin-1 and Japanese is fairly strong, so we're
releasing it now. MULE support comes at a price -- about a 30%
slowdown from 19.14. We're working on making things faster, but it's
taking time. Currently, 19.15 and 20.0 compiled without MULE
(20.0-latin-1) are somewhat faster than 19.14.

In short, if you don't need the internationalization features and
you're not interested in participating in the upgrade path of XEmacs
until the new code stabilizes you should use 19.15. If you like the
idea of running the latest code, but don't want to take the
performance hit of MULE, don't need to have non-Latin-1 language
support, and are willing to put up with the occasional incompatibility
caused by the change to the character type, then you should use
XEmacs-v20-latin-1. If you wish the whole `v20 experience', then you
should use XEmacs-v20-MULE.

You can get XEmacs via anonymous FTP from FTP.XEMACS.ORG (128.174.252.16).
