Followup.  Tried just now under X.  I like the red splash screen, but
what happens now that the next version is named after a fruit?

Anyway, it does the same thing.  I've left it going for 20-30 minutes,
and it just sits there taking about 80% of the CPU.

I'll come clean and admit that I haven't RTFM'd at all until now, but
after a quick glance I don't see anything that should bite me in going
from 5.2 to 5.4.  I haven't changed anything in my .gnus.  Is there
anything I should lookout for?  Should I send my .gnus?
