	Hmm, I see this pretty constantly under solaris2.5 with gcc.  I
type 'M-x gnus l' and 'g l' in Gnus constantly, and just hit C-l
randomly to unwedge things.  It's really annoying to need to hit C-l so
often when I display a frame remotely over my slip line.
