Successful build of "Bern" on Debian 1.3 Linux 2.0.29.

Aaargh. I'm not stupid and lazy (I _always_ check for .rej), I'm just
stupid and lazy. I failed to take note patch-2.1 refuses to continue
after barfing on the strokes.el patch mentioned by Colin Rafferty in
<ocrraao6lrn.fsf@ml.com>, leaving out-of-sync sources.

LEIM has nothing to do with it, as the successful build simply
required applying the second half of the patch, with no LEIM. Same
procedure succeeded on Sparc Linux (where I decided not to ignore the
patch error), also without LEIM.

If you don't have patch-2.4 yet, better get it quick---took me an hour
to find it and another 40 minutes to download (multiple timeouts
trying to access Yahoo and Alta Vista without success, 4 of the first
5 Archie references to 2.4 have already been upgraded to 2.5. When
will JUNet get direct access via MAE-West, that's what I wanna know!)
Anyway, 2.5 has problems, allegedly, but 2.4 may or may not be
available (I've only found the source as a RedHat source RPM).
