Would it be possible to add a 'make install-gzipped' target that
behaves as 'make install; make gzip.el' but compresses .el files in
the source directory _before_ copying them. This should require about
30 Megs less for performing the installation (with a final save of 15M 
as now), and would be very much appreciated by my Linux notebook...
Anything that makes the above undoable?
