I have no personal plans in this area unless there's a Linux/Alpha box 
sitting on my desk. :-)

There were some patches submitted around the time of the 20.2 release
for Linux/Alpha support that were rejected due to being too dirty for
inclusion.  I don't know whether the parties involved are tracking
20.3.

The fastest way to get said support (at least to the point of a
correctly working configure) is to arrange an account for Martin and
let him go to it.
