Sorry, I thought it could be gleaned from the backtrace. I simply
clicked the middle mouse (button2) over an embedded URL in a nnml mail
article.

Anyway, it works now, so it probably is an rgnus-0.79 thing (not
requiring a needed package or something like that) as I don't remember
ever seeing this in Gnus-5.2.40. This happened on a fresh XEmacs that
had only started up rgnus and nothing else.
