SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITY
--------------------

             Solar activity was very low. No optical flares
       were observed during the past day. New Regions 7411 (S11W23)
       and 7412 (S14E75) were numbered. Region 7411 is emerging
       rapidly, already forming penumbra on leader and trailer
       sunspots. Region 7412 may be the first of two or more new
       regions rotating into view at the southeast limb.

            Solar activity forecast:  solar activity is expected to be
       very low to low. Flare activity is expected to increase over
       the next few days due to the new regions at the east limb and
       the development of Region 7411.

            The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled at most stations.
       Storm conditions occurred at some high-latitude locations from
       26/0600-1200Z.

            Geophysical activity forecast:  the geomagnetic field is
       expected to be quiet to unsettled for most of the forecast
       period. Active conditions are possible on the third day
       due to a recurrent disturbance.
