HA-LIX is an old Lisunov Li-2, Russian built copy of the famous Douglas DC-3. If you have a look at the picture closely and if you happen to know the DC-3, you'll notice that the front part of this Lisunov is slightly longer than that of a DC-3. There is also one more window on the cockpit cabin side and the door of the plane is on the right hand side, not on the left as usual. This individual Li-2 was built in Tashkent in 1949 and it is now the only remaining Li-2 plane.

For comparison the front part of a "real" DC-3. This one is OH-LCH, DC-3 built in 1942, formerly used by the Finnish Aero/Finnair and now operated by Airveteran. Picture from Helsinki-Malmi airport 30.7.2014 by Ilkka Siissalo.

Another picture of the OH-LCH nicknamed Lokki (seagull) showing now the whole plane. Notice that the door on the side of the plane behind the wing is actually a wide double door. This is because this individual plane was actually built not as a DC-3 but as a C-47, which was the military version of DC-3 intended for cargo and skydiving purposes.

The double door of OH-LCH Lokki is no longer a double door but the original double door hinges are still there.
