This directory contains the TeXPS software which contains among other things
a dvi to PostScript driver and a program pfd2tfm to generate tfm files
from afm files which allows the use of PostScript fonts in TeX.

Here is how you should proceed with the installation of the software.
You need about 8MB. For source code only you need 2MB.

1. Go to directory setup:
	- Make a subdirectory in this directory, which has the hostname of
your machine as name, i.e., execute
		mkdir `hostname`
	- Copy local-defs and makefile from generic.host.name into directory
	  `hostname`, i.e., execute
		cp generic.host.name/* `hostname`
	- Edit local-defs and makefile in `hostname`
2. Go to the main directory and run
		make World

3. For the documentation you need an increased version of LaTeX. Increase
the poolsize. To recompile initex and virtex and to install the new
versions of LaTeX takes some time.

   Then run
make doc-dvi-2 etc. Check the main makefile for further information.

Good luck.
