HOW TO UNINSTALL

Do NOT simply remove the "XL-Plot" directory from your
hard drive as it will leave lots of bits and loose ends
in the registry and the windows directory.
Instead, go to the "configuration panel" and double-click
on "Add/Remove applications". In the list that shows up,
select "XL-Plot" and click "Add/Remove".

INSTALLATION
If you have already a previous version of XL-Plot
installed on your computer, uninstall the old version first.

Double-click on "setup.exe". The installer doesn't ask
too many questions. In case of doubt, push the "OK" button.

1) PURPOSE
The primary purpose of XL-Plot is to create a figure for
scientific publication rapidly. It contains a few basic
statistical functions, such as Students t-test and linear
correlation of two sets of data (two columns in a
spreadsheet). XL-Plot has a number of build-in functions
that can be fitted to the data in columns on a spreadsheet
or to a curve in a graph. The user can easily add fitting
functions of his own design. Additional options are
convolution, Fourier Transformation and Matrix inversion.
The latter can be useful to solve a set of linear equations
simultaneously.

XL-Plot accepts tab-delimited ASCII (*.txt files) and it
outputs a vector drawing.

The program is build around two types of window both
having their own menu and preference settings:
* Windows showing vector drawings (drawing sheets).
* Windows showing columns of numerical data (spreadsheets).

Items in the two types of window may communicate such that
a modification in a column in a spreadsheet results in a
change in the associated graph.
By using copy and paste functions from the menu, data may
be copied to a spreadsheet or to a drawing sheet resulting
in a column of numbers or a graph respectively.

2) This program is freeware. It may be freely distributed,
but not modified in any way.
