    Perpetual Calendar Version 1280.3.19

(Note: Only the 1280 version will be maintained
         and updated from now on.)

VERSION 1280.3.16 IS A MAJOR UPDATE! SAVE YOUR
OLD CALENDAR PROGRAM IN CASE OF AN UNFORSEEN BUG.

[Be sure to see: 'Note concerning previous
   installations' below for instructions on
how to continue to use your current calendar
   data files.]

(Also, SEE note at bottom concerning another
excellent program that is included in this
   package.)

Perpetual Calendar is a two year perpetual
calendar for keeping track of calendar events.
Simply enter calendar events into proper date
boxes as with a wall calendar. Up to 20 entries
per day can be placed into the calendar. A red
arrow appears if there is more data to be viewed
within a date box. Hidden entries can be viewed
by placing the cursor in a date box and scrolling
up or down with the arrow keys.
After the current or top week events have
passed, the old week is dropped off the calendar
through the 'Cal / Cycle Calendar' menu item. The
truncated week's data is archived and can be
reviewed through the 'File / Archives' menu item.
There are options to enter daily, weekly (or 1st
week, 2nd week, 3rd week, 4th week, 5th week, last
week), monthly, and yearly multiple calendar
entries at one time. Weekly, monthly, and yearly
data is automatically added to the new week during
  a 'Cycle Calendar' event.
Calendar information is saved through 'File/Save
Calendar' menu item or by ending the program via
the Quit menu item. There is also an option to
delete multiple calendar entries. These options are
performed through the 'Cal' menu item. Help is
available on each of the respective windows.

Maneuvering through the two year calendar:

1. To go to a specific month / year within the
calendar, click on the Dates menu item. Then
   click on the month/year desired.

2. To scroll up or down the calendar one week at a
time, press the Page Up and Page Down keys, or
   click the 'Week' menu items.

3. To scroll up or down the calendar one calendar
page at a time, press the F11 and F12 keys, or
   click the 'Page' menu items.

4. To bring the calendar to the top, press the Top
   menu item.

Note concerning previous installations:

(A backup of the old Calendar folder files is
recommended before performing this operation.)
The data files of previously installed versions of
Perpetual Calendar have probably already been
updated with calendar entry data. The new versions
of Perpetual Calendar will work with the calendar
data files that were issued with earlier versions of
Perpetual Calendar. Simply install this new version
into a new folder and then copy (not move - press the
Ctrl key while dragging the files) all files (excluding
the Calendar.exe file) from the old folder to the
new version folder. Reply 'yes' to the request
to replace all files.

New in version 1028.3.19

1. A record count is now made in the message record file
to see if the count is correct. If not, a message will
be displayed concerning the discrepancy and request
a backup file be re-installed. This was needed because
the program could lose records if the system came down
while closing. As a result, additional records would
sometimes no longer be added to the end of the main
   message file.
2. Record files are now being kept in the folder 'csystem'.
This should make backups of your files easier.
